June 10-24 - Neil Simon's 'Broadway Bound'
Arizona Repertory Theater
Arizona Repertory Theatre is the professional theatre training company at the University of Arizona School of Theatre Arts. ART showcases the talents of professional faculty, aspiring students and professional guest artists through a season comprised of Shakespearean, classical and contemporary plays and musicals. Building upon the success of ART's first two productions in Neil Simon's acclaimed autobiographical trilogy, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues, we present the much-anticipated final installment. In Broadway Bound, the 1987 Tony Award nominee for Best Play, Eugene Jerome and his brother Stanley pair up to write a comedy sketch for CBS.  Inspiration is hard to come by, and they use their dysfunctional family as a model.  But when feelings get hurt and family secrets come out, they discover harsh truths about who they are and learn lessons about love, forgiveness, and hope while pursuing their dream to reach New York. Contains adult language and mature themes. This production has been made possible by donors to the College of Fine Arts Dean's Fund for Excellence, and is offered through the generous support of the 2007 Summer Arts Festival, a program of the Office of Summer and Winter Session. Dates & Times: Previews: June 10 at 1:30 p.m., June 11 at 7:30 p.m.; Evenings: June 13-16, 21-23 at 7:30 p.m.; Matinees: June 17, 23, 24 at 1:30 p.m. Place: The Tornabene Theatre on the UA campus located near the southeast corner of Park Ave. and Speedway Blvd. Cost: General $26, Senior Citizen/UA Employee/Military $24, Student $19, Preview $17. University Services Bldg, Room 214

We may not realize it, but almost every exchange is a negotiation. Given that, it behooves us to hone our negotiation skills. Negotiation is about more than fighting for what you want. Effective negotiators determine what's important to them, read nonverbal cues, ask the right questions, uncover hidden assumptions, and discover common ground. This session takes you through the steps of the negotiation process and provides you with the tools and confidence to create mutually agreeable results in any situation.  For more information on the Career Development Workshops and to register for a session http://www.hr.arizona.edu/08_o/development3/.  If you have any questions telephone 621-7701

Send your thanks to our soldiers.
It only takes a minute and is so worthwhile.

If you go to the web site http://www.letssaythanks.com/ you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.  You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.  It is FREE and it only takes a second.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?  I sent mine, now you send one too!

Curb Auto Theft with the Watch Your Car Program:
It's Quick, Easy and FREE!

The Watch Your Car decal program is a free, voluntary program that vehicle owners enroll their vehicles with the Arizona Automobile Theft Authority. The vehicle is then entered into the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) database and participants receive decals for their front and rear windows. By displaying the decals, vehicle owners convey to law enforcement officials that their vehicle is not usually in use between the hours of 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM, when the majority of auto thefts occur. In addition, by enrolling in the Watch Your Car Program, vehicle owners also authorize law enforcement officials to stop their vehicle at any time during the day or night within one mile of the border, if there is a suspicion that the vehicle is being illegally operated.

If a police officer witnesses the vehicle in operation between these hours, they have the right to stop the vehicle and verify it is being legally operated by the rightful owner.

To register for the program online go to: https://www.aata.state.az.us/Watch_Your_Car/Info_Request/signup_request.html

Register by mail by downloading the form at: http://www.azwatchyourcar.com/pdfs/WYC%20-%20application%20form%20for%20website.pdf  Print it, fill it out and mail back.
