The "First Annual UA Yard Sale & Silent Auction" is being held on October 31st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Union North Ballroom in conjunction with the Annual Staff Halloween Party.  Proceeds from the sale benefit the Emily Krauz Staff Endowment Fund.

Time is running out!  The SAC Communications Committee is sponsoring a contest to rename the quarterly Staff Newsletter (currently called “Fast Tracks”). Classified staff members are important to the instructional mission at the University of Arizona . They help make attending a large university a less intimidating experience for students and administrators. In 1986, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences established the Outstanding Staff Award in Instruction to recognize outstanding staff members whose significant contributions make a difference on campus.
                   
This year Julie Longstaff , Administrative Assistant in the School of Family and Consumer Sciences was the recipient of the 2003 Outstanding Staff Award in Instruction at the 2003 Honors Convocation Ceremony held on October 10, 2003 .  In recognition of her dedicated service Julie received a pen set and cash award on behalf of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
