Opening Announcements – Randy Livingston - Project YES predays were this
weekend and we will be needing folks to help out this weekend, painting and
clean up started but can always use volunteers. Hit the website and sign up
even if for a few hours. SAC has kids back pack project going on.
Stuff the bus - April 2nd - Media and president expected at
11am ...other groups on board: APAC, Faculty, students, etc. Encourage folks
to come by and let others know about it. Fliers distributed. Announcement to
go out next week
Supervisors breakfast - Scheduled for May 20: 8:30-10:30 wanting to help
contact Joyce or Randy. Event to help spread the news of what is going on in
SAC and what we accomplished and letting supervisors know how much we
appreciate their support.
Nomination for officers need to be on folks minds. Anyone interested in
running for office contact Randy or Joyce or speak to the other officers.
Retreat in July - looking for a date and place

University Committees:
Campus Recreation Advisory Council 2007-2008 (CRAC) Lupe Jacobo, Jim
Hicks - closing at noon on game days. Expanding rec center and expect it
finished by the end of the year. Also eliminating some things to arrange
what to do with the space. Concerns about budget cuts and not having enough
folks to run the place.
Diversity Coalition – Randy Livingston - meeting tomorrow
Faculty Senate – Randy Livingston, Shana McClelland - Deb/Jannelle/Diana
will be backing up Shana on future meetings - Jannelle - Hay and Shelton
spoke on bailout money. If we get cut too much more and drop below a certain
percent we wont qualify. Governor has to request a waiver. Upset about
proposed changes to ABOR rules as UA and NAU faculty werent involved in the
proposal. Mosaic project presentation given by Michelle Norin.
SUniversity Hearing Board – Joyce Childers, Elvia Gandara, and Jannelle
Weakly - Joyce got a huge packet of homework on an upcoming meeting on thurs
New Business:
Museum employees have agreed to take and increased 5% cut above the
furlough in an attempt to delay layoffs and not being allowed through HR to
do it as a permanent change. Suggested contacting Dr Shelton and also having
it as a temporary rather than permanent cut to get it through.
Career services have had proposals to delay layoffs as well.
Concern in HR needing more support and more classes
SARSEF looking for judges and anyone wanting of knowing of anyone
available to judge...will be sending out announcement. Please pass along if
you know of anyone.
