Opening Announcements – Randy Livingston - we will be ordering SAC shirts and Joyce will be asking for sizes. Have gotten 3 bids for shirts - red polos. Retreat meeting tomorrow any suggestions send to Randy, Eva or Joyce. Introduced those running for office and thanked all those for their willingness to serve.

Claudia gave a report on the survey monkey project. Came up with 12 questions and will send a preview to board for review with the 3D memo.

Randy is comprising list of committees, how often does it meet and what is the time required.

Retreat is on July 10 at Westward Look. Guest speakers after lunch will be Caryn Jung and Jan Sturgess: dealing with multiple time requirements while a SAC member. Professional development time not vacation to attend. Planning for the new year, committee work, team building.

Eva went to the HR Career Change after hours. Open forum with pamphlets on interviewing and resumes. Talked about furloughs but it is up to the dept. Want us to champion the notice time to staff for loss of employment. 30 days is recommended like AP but it is not clearly written. If the policy is currently at the will of the dept head, then we should take it to them that a minimum of 30 days if at all possible. Is this an ABOR policy or UA. HR committee should check into this with Leslie Porter.

Treasurer's Report - Jean Mason - we have money left over this year and are encumbering money already for this years retreat.

Committee Reports -

Emily Krauz Staff Endowment Fund – Shana McClelland - economy had hurt the dividend so SAC has augmented it this time. Cut back the number of awards due to reduced donations

Employee Recognition - Grace Aranda - closing meeting coming up sometime this summer

Membership/Liaisons – Shana McClelland - might need to amend the application with time commitment would be helpful

Activities – Claudia Arias, Lupe Jacobo - baseball game in Aug/Sept, try doing staff day with football, Stuff the bus with a craft fair in the fall

Conference – Lilian Schwartz - discussed at the retreat, IAAP would like to work with us on this and possibly CSW

Appointed Professionals Advisory Council (APAC) - holly altman next president

Campus Advisory Council (CAC) – Grace Aranda - cancelled

Faculty Senate – Randy Livingston, Eva Gonzales - done for summer

Parking and Transportation Advisory Board – Marci Remington - signed contract with Hertz for hourly cars for drs appt for hourly rate includes students, daily scratch off spots for alternative parking, sun tran started downtown express from NW and Rita ranch with a very limited schedule.

Strategic Planning Budget Advisory Committee (SPBAC) – Ana Rodriguez - working on strategic plan for the university. Looking for primary and secondary person.

UA Retiree Organization – Sharon Bouck - last meeting in May with speaker from AZ Ctr on Aging. Has a new director and they are looking and involved with new aging research. AARS has a new calculation for 120 month system pending.
