Agenda

Opening Announcements – Randy Livingston - Stuff the Cat Tran was great with lbs of foods and over $250 cash in donations. Deb Kimball received a spirit award for the idea. Many great ideas for next year. News wants to do a live remote and may want to plan for that. More publicity would be great. Wrap up meeting for that and everyone is welcome to come to share ideas. Thanks for everyone who participated.

Treasurer's Report - Jean Mason - $8600 in our accounts. $500 was transferred to EK for awarding of scholarships.

Break into Committees – Plan for the year (Budget, Events)

Committee Reports -

Standing:

Tri-University Classified Staff Executive Board – SAC Executive Committee - we are discussing possibly doing a videoconference.

Communications - Maria Ionescu - bulletins and announcements up to date but no newsletter

Emily Krauz Staff Endowment Fund – Shana McClelland - 10 scholarships for a total os $1200.

Employee Recognition - Grace Aranda - Mon. April 13, 12-3pm in SU ballroom. Need as many volunteers as we can get. Folks volunteered: Angie, Eddie, Grace, Robin, Sharon, Janelle.

Human Resources – Deb Kimball - new chair will be gotten up to speed

Membership/Liaisons – Shana McClelland - hoping food drive would help us gain interest.

Activities – Claudia Arias, Lupe Jacobo - not much going on due to budget, blood drive in April but no word as yet...April 24th

University Committees:

Campus Recreation Advisory Council 2007-2008 (CRAC) Lupe Jacobo, Jim Hicks - Lupe attended the last and tonights is cancelled

Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) – Lorelli Panico, Phyllis Kabins - $1500 donated to ERC

Diversity Coalition – Randy Livingston - new web page. Combinations of centers on campus to unity center

Life and Work Connections – Grace Aranda - just what was dist on announcements

Parking and Transportation Advisory Board – Marci Remington - applications are on hold. Opening for admin asst. Prices going up in July. Safety violations - no parking, blocking hydrants, speeding; all are going up. Future of garages - solar panels in 2nd street.

Strategic Planning Budget Advisory Committee (SPBAC) – Ana Rodriguez, Lorelli Panico - Deb Buenger may take over this in the next cycle but some question about the makeup

S.U. Advisory Board - Claudia Arias - nominees for ringing the bell with a little reception

UA Retiree Organization – Sharon Bouck - reviewing bylaws and needing updates, got a new computer with high speed

University Hearing Board – Joyce Childers, Elvia Gandara, and Jannelle Weakly - continue to meet for necessary items

Sub-committees - Faculty Senate taskforce on childcare: Lilian Schwartz - monetary support was a question raised

New Business: Supervisors Breakfast May 20th. Joyce will be asking for your bosses information for invitations. Pictures of Cats in the Community and Stuff the Cat tran. Retreat in July. Survey subcommittee being set up by Claudia and have a meet and greet to encourage new members for the retreat. Speaker Dave Swihart to be rescheduled.
