New Business: Open Discussion - What have we accomplished in our goals for SAC this FY.

We created goals at the retreat at the beginning of our new year in July. One in particular is to get word out about SAC. Word needs to be distributed to general listserv for volunteers. We need to get folks involved, and have members who will step involved to get involved. A timeline is requested from each chairperson

What can we accomplish the remainder of the year!!!

Goals have been met for the most part but there have been items still unmet. Some of the reasons is the need to get folks involved so more people are taking on the work. i.e., need more than on chairman for conference.

Holy Altman – Cats Day in the Community - Annual Volunteer Day for faculty staff and students. Working with Primavera Foundation working with 10,000 homeless and near homeless. They do transitional housing, family shelter, meals, work training, etc. Will be doing a makeover on the S 6th facility. Students doing a design team. We have gone to them to see what they need and meet that need. Will have 400-500 volunteers on march 1st and looking for leaders to step up and help administrate. Crew leaders will take leadership on one project figure out what you need in supplies, etc, be there early to be ready for your crew and deal with logistics: need leaders to lead kids and parents for card project (Eva, Julia, Claudia); Free clothing store being renovated and clothing will need to be organized, etc (Shana, Claudia). Take this info back to depts and let folks know that volunteers are very much needed. Need a paint crew leader. Looking for large size men socks, toothbrushes, disposable razors. Still looking for port -a-potties and a forklift. Online registration opens next week. Sign up early for your times.  621-7007 Justin Collins is contact for the drives.
