Eva opened the meeting by calling for introductions. She
announced that Anne Lopez has retired and we are in need of new officers to step
in and take on her committees: Parking and Transportation (Barb Foster), Naming
Committee, Hearing Board (Randy Livingston) and Triboard Statements (Ana
Rodriguez). Carolyn Eaton was asked and had agreed to serve on the exec board
until elections in June.
Eva stressed that SAC is at less than 50% man power at
this time and the remaining members need to make SAC a priority in attendance
and commitment if we are going to continue working on committees, etc. Lauren
Johnson agreed to make the ABOR Call to Audience.
Treasurers Report - Anna
Rodriguez reported that the council is doing well at $4,100. The Crossroads
Conference has encumbered part of this but we foresee that the incoming
registrations will offset any loss.
Human Resources
Department - Leslie Porter stated that Department Link is coming to
centralize performance appraisal process. Also a family medical leave calculator
that you can enter the dates to calculate leave.
Committee Reports
Communications
- Cori Cashen reported Grace continues to update our SAC
website. There was an apparent overcharge on our account for printing of a
newsletter and she is looking into why. Newsletter will carry awards, conference
and Emily Krauz scholarship information.
Emily Krauz Staff Endowment
- Applications are being received for the March deadline after which they will
be sent out to the judging committee.
Employee Recognition
- Grace reported that our event planning is going well though
volunteers are needed for decorating on the day of the event . She will send out
notice to remind folks to show up for balloon duty.
Human Resources
- Jean Mason reported that the committee will be meeting soon.
Legislative
- Carolyn Eaton reported that the committee is awaiting budget information and
will distribute to SAC once an update is made. Pride night went well and she
will be sending Grace pictures for the website.
Membership -
Eva reported that we are in need of new members so if anyone has any ideas be
sure to pass along their names or send them to the membership application on the
website.
Activities -
Lupita and Randy gave an update on the conference planning. So far we have 135
paid registrations including 10 vendors. Lupita's department is helping to
offset some of the cost of the conference and will get recognition in the
program. The activities committee is also planning for a December bake sale to
benefit the Emily Krauz.
Campus Advisory Council
- Grace reported that the March meeting was cancelled.
Campus Emergency Response Team
- Jean reported that the tabletop exercise went well.
Meeting adjourned at 4:25 p.m.
