MEMO TO: All University of Arizona Classified Staff Employees

FROM: The Staff Advisory Council (SAC)

On behalf of the President of The University of Arizona, the Staff Advisory Council is seeking nominations for new members.

Nominees must be non-probationary classified staff employees who are energetic, conscientious, and concerned with staff issues. Each must be willing to commit a minimum of eight hours a month to SAC activities.

The SAC is composed of 24 to 42 members who advise the University Administration regarding staff concerns. Since many of these issues are related to personnel policies (eg. Benefits, pay, employment practices), SAC interacts closely with the Human Resources department, as well as other departments on campus. Council members also serve on various University Committees.

Candidates may be nominated by themselves, their co-workers, or their supervisors.

The statement of recommendation at the bottom of this form must state why the person is being nominated and how he or she will benefit the SAC and the staff of the University.
