Obtaining a
Mortgage
Most home buyers have to rely on
their borrowing power to buy a house. We explain how to go about
obtaining a mortgage. We begin by listing the sources of mortgage loans
and explaining how to search for a lender that offers the most
attractive terms on mortgage loans. We also provide a checklist that
will help one shop for a loan by comparing terms being offered by
different lenders and the different mortgage options facing a borrower
We then look at the loan application process itself, including what to
expect from a loan interview and the procedures lenders follow in
determining whether or not to approve a loan. We will also mention what
predatory loans look like and predatory lenders. Finally we look at some
alternatives one may want to consider if a loan application is turned
down.

Do We Have Your Money?
The Arizona Department of Revenue

collecting, safeguarding, and returning abandoned financial assets to
missing owners. These abandoned assets have been reported to the State
of Arizona by businesses throughout the United States because the owners
of record had a last known address in Arizona and could not be located.
In fiscal year 2006 alone, more than $69.7 Million was reported to the
State as abandoned property and 18,900 claims were processed in
returning $17.7 Million to rightful owners.
How does property become
unclaimed?
Why is unclaimed property
reported to the State?
How can I determine if I have
unclaimed property?
How does a missing owner claim
their property?
What becomes of property that
is not claimed by an owner?
Speaker: Daniel Corcoran,
Unclaimed Property Administrator - Employed at the Department of Revenue
for more than 21 years, 15 years experience in the field of Unclaimed
Property, served the last four years in current position as
administrator of the program.
Estate Planning
with the Living Trust
Today 70% of Americans die without
any type of estate planning. This staggering statistic means that a
majority of families deal with the expensive and time-consuming process
of probate. A proper estate plan ensures that your estate goes to whom
you want, in the way you desire and at the least cost. This seminar
covers basic estate planning principles and options. The discussion will
address the following issues: wills, living trusts and the differences
between them; how living trusts are treated under federal and state law
and; how living trusts can protect your heirs from probate, creditors,
divorce, and lawsuits.

Achieving Peak
Performance
APP is based on research which
suggests that the most effective people are those who understand
themselves, both their strengths and weaknesses, so they can develop
strategies to meet the demands of their environment.
Todays leaders must build
relationships quickly, get their point across, influence others to
cooperate with them, and build trust in every human interaction.
The APP seminar uses the DISC
behavioral assessment. The DISC assessment provides critical information
that will help you discover how to:
-
Use your personalized report
to enhance your ability to lead, motivate and communicate with
others
-
Recognize, understand, and
appreciate others behavioral designs
-
Adapt for enhanced
communication, understanding, and relationships
-
Build high performance teams
This link will allow you
to
complete the pre-work for the upcoming
meeting.

where your important papers are? Do you have a list of people to
contact? Do you know where the significant people in your life keep
their important papers and records? If your loved ones live across the
country, will they be able to manage your affairs should you become ill
or die? Will you be able to manage theirs, possibly write their
obituary, find sufficient funds for a surviving spouse, prepare
information for an attorney for probate while still continuing to work?
You will be provided with a guide to supplement the presentation.
