Special Features
The Council for West Asian Studies is not a recognized body of the University but a loosely knit affinity group. There are no degree programs in Middle Eastern studies, but the University offers strong educational and research programs in all of the other regions of Asia. Parts of West Asia, including Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, are encompassed by these programs as well as the research and conference activities of the East-West Center
