Special Features
Hartford Seminary holds uncatalogued Arabic manuscripts. There are also special
collections in Islamics, Muslim-Christian relations and the history and phenomenology of
religions. The Center publishes The Muslim World, founded in 1911 and devoted to
the scholarly study of Islam and Muslim-Christian relations. The Center sponsors regular
continuing education events to generate increased knowledge about Islam and greater
understanding among Muslims and Christians. Hartford Seminary is in partnership with
Temple University's, Department of Religious Studies to make available each institutions
special resources in Islamic Studies & Christian-Muslim Relations.
