The Medical Anthropology concentration in the Department of Anthropology, University of Arizona, was established in 1988. To date, over 50 students have received graduate degrees with a medical anthropology concentration.

While most students are broadly trained in anthropology, others have public health, medicine,  nursing, communications, and education as their home discipline.
