Creating
Respectful Workplaces: Discrimination and Harassment Prevention
The
University of Arizona is committed to creating and maintaining an
environment free of unlawful discrimination, including harassment,
and all members of the University community are responsible for
fulfilling this commitment. The goal of this workshop is to create
respectful workplaces by increasing your knowledge and skills in
recognizing, preventing, and effectively dealing with discrimination
and harassment that affect the workplace.

Discrimination and Harassment Prevention for
Supervisors
The workshop will
discuss supervisory responsibilities and applicable policies, and
teach supervisors how to recognize and respond appropriately to
allegations of discrimination, including harassment. Creating
and supporting a climate for diversity will also be a primary focus.
Additionally, the workshop will address specific areas related to
recruiting, hiring, and managing a diverse workforce. Emphasis
will be placed on providing practical information for handling many
aspects of supervision in order to prevent and address allegations
of discrimination and harassment.
