Mission

The mission of the Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Office is to uphold (1) the University’s policy to provide equal opportunity in its admissions, employment, educational programs, and activities without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status,  sexual orientation, or gender identity and (2) the University’s policy to take affirmative action in employment and advancement of covered veterans, individuals with disabilities, women, and minorities. The Office is dedicated to preventing illegal discrimination and to guiding institutional compliance with applicable federal and state laws, Arizona Board of Regents and University policies. Through educational programs, investigation and resolution of complaints, and oversight activities, the Office fosters an environment and culture that supports all members of the University community.
